Over 200 kilometres of forest trails and paths approved in accordance with the Tyrol Mountain Bike Model, offer “clear runs” for mountain bikers almost right up to the summits. Fresh, clear air and breathtaking views make a wonderful change from the noise and fumes of traffic turning an excursion into the spectacular mountain scenery into an exceptionally invigorating experience. It’s not surprising that the region has hosted such races as the legendary Trans Alp Bike Challenge or the Deutschland Tour in the past and last year the Craft Trans Germany came to Seefeld.

The area is a real El Dorado for bikers with unique terrains for those who like a challenge such as the Gaistal Valley “Pasture Paradise” which is also one of the starting points for the breathtaking “Zugspitz circuit”, the Karwendel Alpenpark nature reserve and the Wildmoos landscape conservation area with linking trails to Mösern and Buchen. The region, however, also has family-friendly tours, e.g. along the banks of the Leutascher Ache stream, round the foot of the Ahrnspitze mountain (Leutasch – Scharnitz – Mittenwald – Leutasch) or from Seefeld to Reith.
